Emergencies & urgent claims

In case of urgent property damage (e.g. water leaks), please take immediate steps to limit the damage (e.g. contact a plumber or turn off the water supply).

Document everything with photos and receipts – this will support your claim.

In the event of a car accident, contact the police if necessary and complete the DAA as accurately as possible. The towing service number can be found in your policy, or you can download our list of emergency numbers here.

Car

  • Complete the accident report if applicable.

  • Do not admit fault before consulting us.

Boats / Yachts

  • Notify the port authority if necessary.
  • Gather details of all parties involved.
  • Contact our Claims Department immediately.

Business / Commercial

  • Secure the premises to avoid further damage or loss.
  • Document everything with photos, videos, and witness statements if possible.
  • Keep invoices, receipts, and any records related to the claim.
  • Contact our Claims Department before engaging in any negotiations with third parties.

What do you need to submit a claim?

Requirements vary by type of claim, but you will typically need:
  1. Your policy number
  2. A description of the incident
  3. Photos or videos of the damage
  4. Invoices or repair estimates
  5. Police or medical reports (where applicable)
  6. For car accidents: a completed Accident Report Form (DAA)
